CeMAP training
In-Person Workshop Programme
We recommend a 4-day intensive workshop programme for CeMAP 1.
This is usually held at companies’ own premises, although we can source training venues if required. The course is run by one of Effectus’ experienced trainers who have been delivering CeMAP training for many years.
Some companies like to book the exam with LIBF for the following day (which then allows learners time for reflection after the course and to revisit any areas of weakness which they identified on the course. We would recommend that delegates are registered with LIBG for the examination and receive the LIBF CeMAP workbook at least 3-4 weeks prior to coming on the course.
This allows them sufficient time to have read the workbook prior to coming on the course and thereby maximises the benefit of the course and the chance of passing the examination. After completing the CeMAP 1 course and completing the exam we would then recommend a further 3-4-week study time before completing the CeMAP 2&3 course and exam.
Please note we do not currently run public CeMAP courses for individuals to book on (please see new CeMAP online video course for individuals). If you book a CeMAP 1 and CeMAP 2&3 at the same time we will offer you a 12.5% discount on the overall cost. As additional value we will provide you with a free induction session to kick off the programme (this is usually held once students have registered with LIBF and have received their study materials but have not started studying the material in detail).
Individual course materials are provided which includes a workbook and copies of all LIBF specimen papers worth £30 per module (£90 in total).

CeMAP training
Live Web Classes
The web class programme is delivered in exactly the same format as our in-person training but via Zoom. The webinar is delivered live so that you can interact with the trainer and the other delegates and ask questions.
These are interactive workshops and require delegates to take an active role to get the best out of the sessions. Course materials can be sent out to individuals’ home addresses if required – which includes a workbook and copies of all LIBF specimen papers worth £30 per module (£90 in total).

CeMAP training
CeMAP Online Video Programme
We have recently launched a CeMAP online programme to either replace or complement our face to face delivery. The course comprises of 25 pre-recorded video lessons, one for each topic (chapter) of the UK Financial Regulation (CeMAP 1) workbook. You can also re-watch the lessons as many times as you wish.
This allows much greater flexibility for staff to learn whenever and wherever you want them to. Soft copies of support materials are also provided. The online programme can be used as a standalone course or to complement the face to face delivery.
We are confident that all delegates attending the programme will be thoroughly prepared to successfully complete their CeMAP examination.
However, Effectus will provide support for any delegates who fail any of their CeMAP exams. This would be by webinar to address delegates’ areas of weakness.

I set up Effectus Learning in 2010 to provide training for finance qualifications such as CeMAP. Before that, I was head of banking and finance at the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF). Together with my colleagues at LIBF, back in 1998, we developed and launched the CeMAP qualification to the UK in 1998, driving all around the UK to spread the word on CeMAP and get advisors up to speed on it. So, I’ve been helping companies and their employees to become CeMAP qualified for over 20 years.
At Effectus we have helped over 1,000 people to achieve their CeMAP qualification, as well as being trusted by Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and TSB to train their advisors. You won’t get a certificate after completing our course but you will be awarded the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice from LIBF once you have passed your exams.

You can watch, pause and repeat the videos as often as you require. This is a real advantage over in-person training – you can’t pause a live tutor!
